Introducing His Grace

I've always wanted a title.  In particular, I've always wanted to be called "Your Grace."  It has such a nice ring to it.  It clearly marks one as a member of the upper echelons of the aristocracy, plus it has the added benefit of bringing to mind both an ineffable quality (like the "grace" of God) and remarkable beauty (like a "graceful" dancer).

Yeah, that's me.  Ineffable and beautiful.  Right.

Anyway, the problem is, to be addressed "You Grace," you have to be a British subject, which I am not.  While I could probably become one, I choose not too.  My teeth are bad enough already.  Oh, and one more small detail:  You have to be either a Duke, a Duchess, or an Archbishop in order to be called "Your Grace."  And I am none of those things, either.  Despite being on very good terms with Betty Windsor, I doubt that she is going to issue letters patent creating a Dukedom or Archbishropic for me anytime soon.

However, I did recently adopt a new baby.  Here's a picture (he's the one in green with the big feet):

And since, as his sole parent, I got to name him, I decided that his full name is "His Grace, Grigsby."  But you can just call him "Grigsby," for short.

I adopted Grigsby here in Washington, DC, a couple of months ago, but he's bored with this town already.  And I've grown tired of it myself after eight years.  So we're moving to Seattle.  We leave the day after tomorrow.  And His Grace, Grigsby is going to lead the way!  (He's very precocious for his tender age.)  We're taking four weeks to travel across this big ol' U S of A (and part of Canadia), and this blog will be my lame attempt to document some of our adventures along the way.

(Yes, I realize that blogging is very 2006.  I'm not nearly as precocious as His Grace.)
